Sponsor DutyToResume

DutyToResume is a veteran-owned and veteran-run small online service that helps veterans turn military experience into civilian resumes. DutyToResume is a veteran-owned and veteran-run online service that turns military experience into a civilian resume.

Military jobs have their own codes and language. Civilian employers often can't see how that experience fits their openings.

How veterans use it

First, they enter their military job code. It works for any job code in any branch.

Second, they describe what they actually did, in their own words. The site suggests common duties for that job.

Third, they see the civilian jobs that match their experience, with typical pay.

Fourth, military duties are rewritten into resume lines a civilian employer understands.

Fifth, they download a finished resume in seven styles, in Word and PDF, for $19, one time.

The job pages

Every military job code has its own free page, like this one for the Army's 88M, Motor Transport Operator. These pages are built to be found when veterans search for their job code.

What your company gets

Your listing is featured first in the page's civilian job matches, highlighted and labeled Sponsored.

A larger listing also appears near the end of the page.

Each listing shows your logo and company name, a short message, and a button to your careers page, with clicks you can track. There is one employer per page.

That puts your company in front of veterans with matching experience, at the moment they're researching civilian careers.

How sponsoring works

First, choose a plan. Every plan covers all branches. A job page, plus the same job in every other branch, is $49 a month. A career field, the 5 job codes that best match a civilian role you hire for, is $149. An industry, every job page in that industry, is $399. Sitewide is $2,499.

Second, pick your pages. For a career field, choose the civilian role you hire for, and the form shows the 5 job codes before checkout. Then add your company details and message.

Third, check out. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live, with a full refund if it can't be approved.

Fourth, veterans see your listing and click through to your careers page. Plans are monthly, and you can cancel anytime.

What you get

Job page: $49/month

  • One job-code page you choose, plus the same job in every other branch. Where a branch has no equivalent, a couple of its closest matching jobs in the same career field instead; if nothing is close, no page is added.
  • Example: Army 88M Motor Transport Operator also covers Air Force: 2T1X1 Ground Transportation; Marine Corps: 3531 Motor Vehicle Operator.
  • Matching is based on the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET military crosswalk. New matching pages join automatically when they publish.
  • Priority: first. A page's own job sponsor always shows on it, ahead of every other plan.

Career field: $149/month

  • The 5 military job-code pages that best match one civilian role you hire for (for example diesel mechanic or truck driver), from any branch or a mix of branches.
  • The form shows your 5 codes before checkout, and they stay fixed for your subscription.
  • Priority: shows on those 5 pages unless a page has its own job sponsor or is covered by a job sponsor from another branch.

Industry: $399/month

  • Every job-code page in one industry, in every branch, including new pages as they publish. Example: Transportation & Logistics has 42 live pages today.
  • All 14 industries, with live page counts: Aviation & Aerospace (59), Transportation & Logistics (42), Healthcare (122), IT & Cyber (27), Intelligence & Analysis (13), Law Enforcement, Security & Fire (13), Skilled Trades & Maintenance (58), Construction & Facilities (24), Engineering & Science (41), Business, Administration & Legal (38), Combat Arms & Special Operations (23), Management & Leadership (13), Education & Community Services (13), Media & Communications (13).
  • Priority: shows on pages without a job page or career field sponsor.

Sitewide: $2,499/month

  • Every job-code page on DutyToResume (499 live today, across Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps), plus the job-code hub pages. Coast Guard pages are on the way.
  • Priority: shows on any page that has no job page, career field or industry sponsor.

Every plan includes

  • Featured first in the page's list of matching civilian jobs, highlighted and labeled Sponsored
  • A larger listing near the end of the page, after veterans see their civilian job matches
  • Your logo and company name
  • A message of up to 150 characters
  • A button to your careers page (tagged so you can see the clicks in your own analytics)
  • One employer shown per page at a time
  • Reviewed before it goes live, usually within one business day, with a full refund if we can't approve it
  • Monthly, cancel anytime, paid securely through Stripe

Questions employers ask

Who reviews my listing?

We check every listing before it goes live, usually within one business day. You pay at checkout. If we can't approve it, we cancel the subscription and refund you in full.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime. Every live listing email includes a cancel link. You won't be charged again, and your listing stays up until the end of the month you've paid for.

What can my listing say?

A short, honest message about hiring or training veterans, with a link to your real careers or program page. No misleading claims, no pay-to-apply or fee-based job offers, no MLM, no political or adult content, and nothing that suggests military or government endorsement.

What does "the same job in every branch" mean?

We match jobs across branches using the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET military crosswalk: same career field and the same civilian occupations. If another branch has an equivalent job, your listing shows there too. If it doesn't, your listing shows on a couple of that branch's closest matching jobs in the same career field. If a branch has nothing close, we don't add filler. Your checkout and confirmation emails list the exact pages.

How does the Career field plan pick its 5 job codes?

You name the civilian role you hire for, such as diesel mechanic or truck driver. We rank every military job code by how closely its O*NET civilian matches fit that role and take the top 5, from any branch or a mix of branches. The form shows the 5 codes before you check out, and your confirmation email lists them.

Which industries can I sponsor?

Aviation & Aerospace; Transportation & Logistics; Healthcare; IT & Cyber; Intelligence & Analysis; Law Enforcement, Security & Fire; Skilled Trades & Maintenance; Construction & Facilities; Engineering & Science; Business, Administration & Legal; Combat Arms & Special Operations; Management & Leadership; Education & Community Services; and Media & Communications. Each job page belongs to exactly one industry, and an Industry plan covers every page in it, in every branch.

How many sponsors are on a page?

One. Each page has a single sponsor at a time. A job page's own sponsor shows first, then a job sponsor from another branch covering it, then a career field sponsor, then the industry sponsor, then the sitewide sponsor.

Can I change my logo or message?

Yes. Reply to any of our emails with the change and we'll update it after a quick review.

What happens if a payment fails?

Your listing comes down automatically and we email you. It goes back up when billing is sorted out.
